Mary Harris
New member Mary Harris, graduated from California State University Fullerton Class of 1999 with a degree in Economics. Subsequently she worked in the Marketing Department of the Automobile Club of Southern California as an analyst and associate product manager. Prior to school she held positions as legal secretary at The Presley Companies in California, real estate agent in Florida and Texas, and administrative specialist as well as courtroom clerk for the Hennepin County District Court in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mary was married for 34 years to David who passed away in 2004. They had no children. In those wonderful years, Mary and David lived all over the country and moved fifteen times in part due to promotions David received in corporate America. As a side note, David was proud to be called to duty for Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1990. He used to say "I was one of the fortunate few who got a free trip to Saudi Arabia compliments of the Army." He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving 32 years in the Army Reserve.
Mary’s interests include playing the piano, taking cooking classes, reading, meditating, and attending the Pacific Symphony and South Coast Repertory Theatre.
She currently manages her assets and trades options in the stock market.
Ms. Harris is thrilled to be a member of Kiwanis Club of Santa Ana and looks forward to contributing to the organization and its activities in the community. She is already heavily involved in this years "Strike Gold for Kids Gala".
